Energy Monitoring - Hardware

Energy monitoring @ Vaugrat uses a device called "CC128 Envi" from a company based in the UK Called Current Cost.  This device has a "clamp connector" that clips to your main live feed as it enters the house.  The information is relayed to a monitoring unit.  This unit, connects to a PC with an optional USB data cable.

On the PC I run a piece of software called Panchube.

The data is uploaded to the Pachube web site every 60 seconds.  The web site, then provides the facilities for Graphs and other data extractions as required.

There is also an iPhone Application (Pachube Mon) that I use to monitor usage remotely.
